Opened six years ago, Livin Italy is a Bar, Deli and Italian Restaurant in Leeds City Centre with the only mission to promote Italian culinary tradition and culture among British customers. Livin Italy offers a wide choice of meat platters, cheeses and traditional Italian dishes made with fresh 100% Italian ingredients in order to recreate the original taste of Italy.  

“Our menu is homemade and genuine, we select the best ingredients coming directly from different Italian regions in order to offer true Italian flavors.” These are the words of Alessio Puccio, the executive chef at Livin Italy. He started working in a pizzeria after he finished school. There, he learned a profession but, most importantly, he discovered his true passion.

Born in Sicily, Alessio worked in Turin and then in London. Four years ago, he arrived in Leeds and that move brought him a lot of success. “At Livin Italy, we always strive to provide the best food and atmosphere to our customers and we are driven by a passion for our cultural roots. For this reason, we use ancient wheat flour provided by Petra. We only choose wholegrain and organic flours for our pizzas and focaccia.”
Alessio prepares Neapolitan-style pizzas, with a Sicilian twist. He works tirelessly to innovate his creations, “we are always on the hunt for new ideas. During a technical workshop with Molino Quaglia experts we discovered spelt flour and we decided to give it a try in our doughs. So far it has won the favor of customers. We really care about our customers’ tastes. We offer them  a wide choice of pizza bases that can be topped with their favorite ingredients.”

The most loved pizzas are the Livornese, with a homemade cacciucco (a traditional fish dish from Liguria), and the Ponente with pumpkin cream, Italian bacon, black olives and smoked scamorza cheese.

Livin Italy will open very soon another Deli restaurant in town, dedicated completely to gourmet pizzas, focaccia, bread and the most popular Italian street food. The philosophy behind this restaurant remains the same, passion for good food prepared using fresh and traditional Italian ingredients.
